Dear Host parents,

Hallo Guten Tag! My name is Jennifer Palad and I am 26 years old. Currently, I am residing in Concepcion,Tarlac Philippines. I am the older of my siblings. I am an easy-going person, patient, loving and love adventures or Travel

As a child, my mother already taught me how to become an independent woman Strong woman to be ready for everyday life before she Gone for work and fly to another Land. my mother is not living with us for now she’s in another Country for work as Domestic Helper or (Nanny) because we’re Suffering about financial that’s why she need to work away from us and work hard for us, part of her sacrifices and  Help of God, I Graduated College As Bachelor of Science in Hotel And Restaurant Management. this reason, Growing up together with my siblings, we had to divide the household tasks and do it ourselves. I learned to wash all our clothes, wash all the dishes by hand because here in the Philippines it is not common to use dishwasher, organize things at home, clean the floors, wipe the windows so that it will stay clean and so on and so forth. Aside from this, my mother teaches us how to cook delicious meals. Now, it became my hobby to cook meals 3 times a day for the family.

For my childcare experience, I am now helping my cousin taking care of her daughter because she needs to go to work every day. Considering of her situation, I need to support her by taking care of her daughter, helping her take a bath, changing. Diaper,help her go to bed, prepare the meals, do some outdoor activities to help the child engage in physical exercises, doing some indoor activities like painting, drawing or some learning activities, I do the same thing with my other 2 younger brothers and 1 younger sister which is now grown up already. Moreover, I also had an experience where I need to take care of my uncle’s and aunt children.

I want to apply as your Au pair because I want to be a helping hand for your family. I understand that au pair is a cultural program that helps us learn the culture, language, food and understand also the history of a country. I want to experience that even for a short time. I am here to experience these wonderful things. And what’s the best way to learn that? It is to stay to a family that can teach me about these things. Aside from learning, this can also help me improve myself, educate myself, adjust myself with the new environment and lastly, it will help me understand deeply the differences of people, their upbringings because of culture and it will help me adjust and communicate with them with different strategies.

I am very sure that I am the Au pair fit to your family because I have a deep understanding of children and I know how to handle their behaviors. Not all children are the same. We need to consider that they are different from each other that’s why not all activities are fit to all. It is not just about helping the family with chores but being an Au pair is a vital role in a family because I am the only one who stays most of the time with the kids and hoping that they will learn so many valuable strategies of enjoying and understanding life that they can bring when they grow up. Which means what I do, why I do and how I do things will greatly affect them too.
