Hallo zukünftige Gastfamilie!
Mein Name ist Andrea, ich bin 23 Jahre alt und ich bin Venezolanerin.

Before starting college, I worked as a nanny for years with some incredible children, it was a fantastic time and an enriching experience, which helped me develop a huge sense of responsibility, adaptability, patience and learning to handle stress, virtues that I consider important.
Since the beginning of 2019, I had a dream in mind that I thought would only come true after graduating from university, and that dream was to live in Germany, since then I have been reading about this country, I was impressed; Its culture, climate and gastronomy were elements that caught my attention immediately. From that moment on, one of my challenges was to one day visit this country and immerse myself in its culture. That is why I started my German course in 2020, enjoyed it very much and was able to complete the A2 level. During my German course I learned about the Au Pair program, and I loved it from the first moment, as it was a combination of another of my passions: working with children.
That’s why I am here, because I want to live a new experience, in a great country, with a friendly family like yours. My idea is not only to take care of your adorable children, but to be part of your family and help them as much as I can. Therefore, this is an opportunity that will mark a before and after in my life and in yours, that will bring you a great satisfaction, because I assure you that your children will be in the care of someone responsible, comprehensive, reliable and that will fill them with much love and attention.

I consider myself an introvert, I consider myself to be respectful, responsible, kind, patient and helpful.

My family is small, I currently live with my mom, her husband and me. But all my life, until I was 19 years old, I lived in my grandparents‘ house, so I am very close to them.
My mother is a university professor, I have no siblings. Although I was born in the east of the country, specifically in the city called Puerto la Cruz in the state of Anzoátegui, all my life I have lived in the state of Zulia, located in the west of the country and known for being „the land of the beloved sun“, because the weather is summer all year round.

Currently, I am studying the fourth year of medicine at the University of Zulia since 2017, as well as, I belong to the Student Society for the Promotion of Endocrine Metabolic Research since 2018. Being a member of that team, has allowed me the development of several skills that have been useful throughout my life, but also helped me to strengthen other skills and values such as the importance of teamwork, effective communication, commitment and resilience, it was thanks to all this that I was able to discover one of my great passions: research.

In my free time I like to listen to music, read a book, take a walk, take a nap, talk to my friends and grandparents or watch TV.

First of all, I want to be an Au Pair because I consider it a very interesting and enriching experience for me, I like to help people and the fact of learning German and living in Germany is my dream. Also, I really enjoy sharing with children, with families, meeting new people (even if it’s hard for me), that’s why I consider the Au Pair program to be the best option for cultural exchange.

I’m a person who doesn’t like to have high expectations, but I think my expectations are to learn and enjoy myself. For example, learning about the language, a new culture, customs, and enjoying with the children, family, friends, the region, among others.
