Prerequisits for being an Au Pair in Austria

If you want to become an au pair in Austria these are the minimum requirements:

  • non EU countries
    • age limit: 18 to 26 years
    • at least German language A1 certificate
    • experience in caring for children
    • not married
    • no children
    • minimum stay of 6 months to maximum 12 months
    • never registered an au pair in Austria
  • EU countries
    • age limit: 18 to 29 years
    • experience in caring for children
  • enough financial means to pay for the trip to and from Austria and for the first couple of weeks
