Which personal data we collect and why

The use of our website is generally possible without providing personal information. As far as we collect personal data (eg name, address or email addresses), this is always provided by you to us on a voluntary basis. The submitted data is saved on the servers of our host and, if not explicitly stated otherwise in our form, and sent to us via email. The submitted data is solely used for the purpose of providing our services: the placement of au pairs with host families. For this purpose, submitted data is saved and processed.

With whom we share data

We pass on your data to third parties. Third parties are partner agencies abroad, to who we provide profiles of host families to search for suitable candidates; Host families receiving au pair profiles; Au pairs receiving the profiles of host families; officials within the realms of the visa process. As part of providing our services, we also use applications such as Facebook and What's App.
We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating via email) may have security vulnerabilities. A complete protection of data against unauthorized access by third parties is impossible. Posts on this site may contain embedded content (eg videos, pictures, posts, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves just as if the visitor had visited the other website.

How long we save data

For users who register on our website, we store the personal information provided. Au pairs like host families can view, change or delete their personal information at any time. Owners and employees of the agency can also view and change this information. If you would like to know what information we have stored about you or would you like us to delete your profile, please send us an email.

Cookie Manager

To obtain consent for the use of technically unnecessary cookies on the website, the provider uses a cookie manager. When the website is called up, a cookie with the setting information is stored on the user's end device so that the query regarding consent does not have to be made during a further visit. The cookie is necessary to obtain the user's legally compliant consent. The user can prevent or terminate the installation of cookies by changing the settings of his browser.

Session-Cookies

We use so-called cookies with our internet presence. Cookies are small text files or other storage technologies that are placed and stored on your end device by the Internet browser you use. Through these cookies, certain information from you, such as your browser or location data or your IP address, is processed to an individual extent. This processing makes our website more user-friendly, effective and secure, as the processing enables, for example, the reproduction of our website in different languages or the offer of a shopping cart function. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit b.) DSGVO, insofar as these cookies data are processed for contract initiation or contract execution. If the processing does not serve the purpose of initiating or executing a contract, our legitimate interest lies in improving the functionality of our website. In this case, the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. These session cookies are deleted when you close your internet browser.

Third-Party-Cookies

Where applicable, cookies from partner companies with which we cooperate for the purpose of advertising, analysis or the functionalities of our website are also used with our website. The details of this, in particular the purposes and the legal basis of the processing of such third-party cookies, please refer to the following information.

Elimination option

You can prevent or restrict the installation of cookies by setting your internet browser. Likewise, you can delete already stored cookies at any time. However, the steps and measures required for this depend on your specific Internet browser used. If you have any questions, please use the help function or documentation of your Internet browser or contact its manufacturer or support. In the case of so-called Flash cookies, however, processing cannot be prevented via the browser settings. Instead, you must change the settings of your Flash player. The steps and measures required for this also depend on the specific Flash player you use. If you have any questions, please also use the help function or documentation of your Flash player or contact the manufacturer or user support. However, if you prevent or restrict the installation of cookies, this may mean that not all functions of our website can be fully used.

Affiliate-Netzwerk Awin

We use Awin on our website. Awin is a German affiliate network of Awin AG, Landsberger Allee 104 BC, 10249 Berlin, Germany, hereinafter referred to as ``Awin``. Affiliate marketing is a special form of distribution that enables commercial operators of websites (``merchants`` or ``advertisers``) to display advertisements, which are usually remunerated via commissions, on websites of distribution partners (``affiliates`` or ``publishers``). The merchant releases an advertising medium via the affiliate network, e.g. in the form of an advertising banner, which can then be integrated by an affiliate on its own Internet pages. In addition to our own content, we are also interested in showing you the most interesting advertisements possible. Therefore, we also make our website available as advertising space for third parties and receive many contacts to advertisers via the Awin affiliate network. Thus, we are able to place topic-specific ads on our website and receive a commission for successful transactions (leads, sales). In the event that you have given your consent for this processing, the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. a DSGVO. The legal basis may also be Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Our legitimate interest lies in the optimization of our online offers and our marketing measures as well as the processing of commission payments with Awin AG. For this purpose, Awin stores cookies on your end device via your internet browser. The cookies set by Awin in this way do not store any personal data. Only the identification number of the affiliate, as well as the order number of the visitor of a website and the clicked advertising material are stored. This data is then used to process commission payments between a merchant and the affiliate, which are settled via the affiliate network, i.e. Awin. You can prevent the setting of such cookies at any time by making the appropriate settings in your Internet browser and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies. You can find more information on this above under ``Cookies``. Such settings of your Internet browser prevent Awin from setting a cookie on your system. It is also possible to delete cookies already set by Awin via the settings of your Internet browser. You can access Awin's data protection information at https://www.awin.com/de/datenschutzerklarung.

Use of PayPal

If you decide to pay with the online payment service provider PayPal during your order process, your contact details will be transmitted to PayPal as part of the order triggered in this way. PayPal is an offer of PayPal (Europe) S.à.r.l. & Cie. S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg. This transmission is necessary to process your order with the payment method you have selected, in particular to confirm your identity, to administer your payment and the customer relationship. The transmission of your data to PayPal is therefore based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO. Please note, however, that PayPal may also disclose personal data to service providers, subcontractors or other affiliated companies if this is necessary to fulfill the contractual obligations arising from your order or if the personal data is to be processed on your behalf. Depending on the payment method selected via PayPal, e.g. invoice or direct debit, the personal data transmitted to PayPal will be transmitted by PayPal to credit agencies. This transmission serves to check your identity and creditworthiness in relation to the order you have placed. You can find out which credit agencies are involved and which data is generally collected, processed, stored and passed on by PayPal in the PayPal data protection declaration at https://www.paypal.com/de/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full.

Our legitimate interest lies in the improvement, stability, functionality and security of our website. Google offers a service for this purpose at https://policies.google.com/privacy for further information on the general handling of your user data.

To enable the display of certain fonts on our website, a connection to the Google server in the USA is established when our website is called up. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. Our legitimate interest lies in the optimization and economic operation of our website. The data collected in this way is in turn used by Google to provide us with an evaluation of the visit to our website and the usage activities there. This data may also be used to provide other services related to the use of our website and the use of the Internet. Google states that it does not associate your IP address with any other data. In addition, Google keeps a record of your IP address at https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/partners Google provides you with further information on data protection law, for example on the options for preventing data use. This add-on can be installed with the most common Internet browsers and offers you further control over the data that Google collects when you visit our website. The add-on tells the JavaScript (ga.js) of Google Analytics that information about the visit to our website should not be transmitted to Google Analytics. However, this does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analytics services. If and which other web analytics services are used by us, you will of course also find out in this privacy policy.
