Brief an die Gastfamilie
Dear Host family,
My name is Ayse, I live in Mersin, its a city in the south of Turkey. I am 24 years old. I speak English fluently and learning German. I have 5 sisters and 3 brothers. My mother(53) is a housewife and my father(49) is self-employment. They have been amazing role model to us. I would like to tell about my siblings:

I completed my studies in Psychological Counseling and Guidance in June, 2020. Then I got accepted to do internship in University of Porto. Even though there was a pandemic, I succesfully managed to go to Portugal and started working there as a Project Assistant. I have had unique experiences there. I created many pedagogical material for school children which was very helpful for them to cope with psychological effects of Pandemic and their emotional wellbeing. I was part of workshops which we organised for students and teachers about many different topics. After I finished my internship in Porto, I moved to Leiria for one month to guide a child who has learning difficulties and obsessive compulsive disorder. After that period I visited very nice cities in Portugal, discovered the culture and tried surfing for the first time, it was such an amazing experience for me:) So then I turned back to Turkey and here I am.
I have traveled 14 countries so far, also I studied one semester in Poland. I love discovering new places and trying different foods and listening different life stories. I am a very good listener. I go for running almost every day, I love running,it gives me energy, I was in the athletics team before I go to university and from since then I run. I like outdoor sports, trekking, camping.. I also started doing bouldering. I also like visiting museums, art galeries and shows. I do creative writing in my free time and I dont have any spesific topics when I write, I write whatever I want. I am improving dancing Bachata.
I decided to go to Germany as an au pair because I always loved being around children, supporting them, helping them, playing with them. I looked after my younger siblings and have lots of other childcare experiences. I have lots of fun activity ideas to do with kids. And most importantly use my professional knowledge to understand them, determine their physical and psychological needs. I also want to learn more about German culture and traditions and of course discovering the beautiful nature of Germany. I have a goal of learning at least two foreign language, so it will be amazing to learn German and improve it with au pair program.
I believe that one most vulnerable groups in the society are the children, they need adults to guide them, me as a Psychological counselor want to do my master degree on children field after I finish my au pair year, and my au pair experiences will teach me a lot about it.
